FES DESERT TOUR
5 DAYS FROM FES TO MARRAKECH
Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Errachidia -Ziz Valley – Merzouga :
After breakfast , you will leave Fes travelling towards Merzouga via Midlet and the Ziz valley. Today you will travel via the Ifrane city, a beautiful mountain village, named the Switzerland of Morocco. Here you will also stop at the cedar forest on the middle Atlas Mountains. During this journey you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains and stopping at Azrou, a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest – the largest one in Morocco – where you will have the opportunity see the Barbary apes. After that, your journey continues to Midelt along the magnificent hills and mountains of the Atlas . After lunch in Midelt, you’ll be travelling through the fascinating Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the spectacular Ziz Gorge, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau, seeing how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the province of the south-east * Errachidia city* . Afterwards, you’ll travel along the fantastic Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani. Arriving in Merzouga in the afternoon you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before checking into your riad.
Day 2: Merzouga -- Tour Erg Chabi– Sahara Desert - Camel trek:
After breakfast in your riad, you can take a little exploration of the local area before the start of your camel ride ; You will visit the Gnawa people - originally from Mali, Senegal and Sudan- in their village Khamlia , where you will learn about their music and their lifestyle . later, we will drive in the desert area to meet nomad families to explore their way of life . Today our lunch will be a traditional Berber meal (Berber pizza). you will have the option also to visit the old city of Rissani - the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty - the current ruling royal family in Morocco. Rissani is surrounded by about 360 ksar (a fortified village with many towers) and has a big souk (an open market), held three times a week. Once called Sijilmassa, this was the meeting place for the salt caravans, coming from Tombouctou in Mali. Here you’ll walk through the souk, selling spices, vegetables and cloths. Drive back to the village of Merzouga. In the afternoon, you will ride your camel, guided by an experienced camelman to explore what is hidden in the middle of the highest sand dunes in Morocco. Dinner will be served in front of the tent where you will spend the night.
Day 3: Merzouga –Rissani - Erfoud -Tinjdad--Todra Gorges – Dades Valley:
Your camel Guide will wake you up early in the morning to watch what well may be the best sunrise in your life. You’ll peacefully camel-trek back to the village of Merzouga. En-route you won’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast and hot shower, you’ll leave for Rissani, Tinghir and Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco and after lunch in the heart of the gorge we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Overnight accommodation will be in a fancy traditional guesthouse overlooking the Dades valley with dinner and breakfast.
Day 4: Dades Valley – Boutaghrar – Skoura – Ouarzazate:
After breakfast , we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is named the way of thousand kasbahs – providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. Today we will have the opportunity to visit a nomad family in the mountain living in caves, to discover an other style of life , different from the other one in the Sahara desert We’ll stop at Kalaa Mgouna, “the rose city”, to purchase the rosewater, which will make your linen smell good a long time after your trip is over. Continuing on to Skoura you’ll visit the Kasbah Ameridil, a well-preserved Kasbah in this area. Lunch will be in a traditional Moroccan restaurant overlooking the beautiful valley, ,then it’s on to Ouarzazate , “the Hollywood of Africa”, whose geography and beautiful landscapes has attracted many world class movie producers. Here you may choose to visit the studios, containing props used in movies such as The Mummy, Gladiator and the Last temptation of Christ. .. Overnight accommodation will be in a riad with dinner and breakfast.
Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech:
After breakfast in your Riad, we’ll head to Marrakech , visiting Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, which is the largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by T-hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains. It used to be one of his stops during his long travel from the Sahara to Marrakech. Now it is one of UNESCO’s world heritage sites. Your journey will continue through the majestic Tizi n’tichka Pass (2260m) over the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech .In our way you will have chance to explore the way and the process of making argan oil-existing only in morocco- by the Berber women in their cooperatives. Getting to Marrakech late afternoon/evening and end of the Tour

Day 1: Fes -Midelt - Errachidia-Erfoud-Rissani -Merzouga Camel Trekking:
In the morning and After our breakfast, we will begin our ascent across the Middle of Atlas Mountains. Most of the day will be spent winding your way through beautiful lush forests, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and begin to descend towards the Sahara Desert Morocco. Half way, you will stop for lunch in the town of Midelt or anywhere, We continue on mountain roads overlooking the wide flowing Ziz Valley. Passing through 1000 Kasbahs and palm groves we head towards the adobe colored city of Er-Rachidia before arriving in the late afternoon at Merzouga you have all the time to enjoy your time in swimming pool at the foot of the dunes. Then later in the afternoon, start your adventure by your camels for your journey across the desert during a beautiful sunset in the world,to reach your camp for the night by the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi.when you arrive at the camp you can use the sand boarding to enjoy your time.

This desert trip begins in the evening . We will organise the camel ride for the night in desert from your hotel near the sand dunes. Camels will be packed with foods, blankets and everything important which we will need for out trip. This trek into the desert will take 1 hour.
We will spend the night in an equipped camp with drums music in the middle of the Moroccan Sahara. This will be great opportunity to take lovely pictures of the sunset and sunrise in desert, when we arrive at the camp we walk to the high dunes to watch the sunset. We will visit the High Atlas village called Telouet and from here we continue to Ait Benhaddou. Here we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, which is a spectacular fortified village. Then we continue our private Morocco tour to Ouarzazatte passing valley of roses and Dades valley. We well spend this night in local riad/hotel in Dades gorges.

Day Trip From Marrakech To : Essaouira
Spend a day exploring Essaouira, home to a traditional Portuguese harbor with fine examples of Moorish and Portuguese art. Famous for its fine wood-work, Essaouira is also home to the silver souk (commercial quarter), art galleries and islands.

Day Trip From Marrakech To : Ourika Valley:
The Ourika Valley is located 30 km from Marrakech, this valley is mainly populated by Berbers who practice a traditional way of life. Despite its proximity to Marrakech, it is still considered relatively "unspoiled".Ourika Valley due to its many waterfalls and several attractions, is a very popular day-trip destination from Marrakech.
In the morning, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in MArrakech. This excursion allows you the discover the high peaks of the Atlas mountains that surround the Ourika valley. Visit the Berber villages on the way, and the beautiful Berber Museum. 3 Days From Fes to Marrakech via Desert Trip
Day 1: Fes – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi
We will pick you up at your riad or your hotel around 8am. We leave for Midelt through the Mountains and the cedar forests of the middle Atlas. We pass by Ifrane, a charming ski resort and Azrou, an important handicraft centre specialised in the work of cedar wood. We arrive in Midelt for lunch. At the afternoon we will drive to Erfoud and into the desert. You will have a camel trek into the beautiful Erg Chebbi Dunes, where you will spend the evening in a bivouac (desert camp). There you will enjoy a Berber dinner, and sleep in traditional Nomad tent.
Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges:
Wake up for sunrise lovely pictures, and breakfast in open air. We return by camels to the hotel for shower. Then, we depart to Erfoud which is known by fossils. Drive through palm trees groves. We stop for lunch, then we take a short walk in Todra Gorges.We head our stoping point Boumalne Dades. Dinner and overnight in the hotel/RiadDay 3: Dades Gorges- Rose vally – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

3 Days From Marrakech To Fes Via Desert Tour
Day 1 : Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazatte – Valley Of roses – Dades Gorges :
Marrakech Private Tour starts driving towards Ouarzazatte via Tizi n Tichka (2260 m mountain pass). We will enjoy scenic drive through some Berber villages. We arrive to Ait benhaddou to visit local casbah where many famous movies were shot. Then we continue to Ouarzazatte to visit Atlas film studio, following to the valley of roses passing through Kalaat M’agouna and we reach Boumalane Dades. We spend this night in the hotel in Dades Gorges.
Day 2 : Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga camel trek and Night in Desert Camp :
After breakfast our Marrakech Desert Tour continues to Merzouga desert. We will drive towards Todra Valley, to walk in the highest gorge in Morocco. Then we drive to Erfoud passing Tinjdad and Jorf. We may visit local fossil craft workshop and then we visit local souk in Rissani. Our last stop today will be Merzouga desert. We ride camels to desert camp where we stay overnight in desert tents. You will enjoy sunset
Day 3 : Merzouga desert – Rissani -Midelt – Azrou -Ifrane – Fes :
On the last day of Marrakech Desert Tour we ride camels back to hotel in Merzouga and after breakfast we drive towards Rissani, Erfoud, passing amazing Ziz valley, then Errachidia, and we reach Midelt for lunch. Then we’ll continue our private Morocco tour to Azrou via cedar forest. We drive to Fes and that’s the end of our Marrakech Tours.Tour includes :
